RB, RA, RU and RE Cross Roller Bearing Comparison

Compare ring construction, mounting features and the information needed before selecting an RB, RA, RU or RE series bearing.

Start with ring structure

The ring construction determines how the bearing is supported and which member is intended to rotate. It should be confirmed from the series drawing, not inferred from the model number alone.

Compare mounting features

RU-style bearings commonly integrate mounting holes, while other series may rely on clamping, shoulders or separate mounting parts. Confirm hole pattern, thread, tightening method and available installation space before replacement selection.

Do not treat dimensions as full interchangeability

Bore, outside diameter and width are only the first screen. Shoulder dimensions, mounting geometry, accuracy, clearance, preload and sealing requirements must also match the machine design.

What to send for technical confirmation

Send the original model, a drawing or mounting photograph, key dimensions, load direction, speed, accuracy target and quantity. This enables a series and installation review before quotation.
